Phoenix-Shearer mentoring

This year, Phoenix Academy high school students have been mentoring Mrs. Schwendeman's 1st Grade class at Shearer Elementary. The Phoenix students go to Shearer twice a month and help in Mrs. Schwendeman's classroom, playing math games with the students, working crafts together, and helping however they are needed. The high schoolers also eat lunch with the Shearer students and have spent time on the playground with them.

Right before Christmas Break, the older and younger students decorated gingerbread houses together, played Christmas bingo, and colored Christmas pictures.
