Clark County Public Schools would like to announce that Kelly Goodpaster Fithen has been selected as the new Assistant Principal at Strode Station Elementary School.
Mrs. Fithen has 15 years of service with the Clark County School System. Her teaching experience includes one year of Language Arts at Conkwright Middle School and 14 years in the Math Department at George Rogers Clark High School. Along with her classroom experience, she has served in numerous leadership roles, including the Math Content Lead and Freshman Academy Team Lead.
Mrs. Fithen received her Bachelor of Science in Education with Language Arts Endorsements, grades 5-9, and Mathematics, grades 5-12, from Eastern Kentucky University. She continued her education at EKU, receiving her Masters of Education in Instructional Leadership, obtaining her principal certification. She furthered her education and received her Rank 1 in Instructional Leadership with endorsements in Instructional Leadership, Supervisor of Instruction, and Director of Pupil Personnel.
Mrs. Fithen and her family reside in Clark County. She and her husband, Kenneth, have three children, Cole, Cade, and Kenley.
Mrs. Fithen is excited to continue her work in the Clark County Public School System and is very thankful to have the opportunity to serve at all grade levels within the district.
