WHEN: March 21, 2018
TIME: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
WHERE: The elementary school that your child should attend according to your current home
BRING TO REGISTRATION:
• Birth Certificate
• Social Security Card
• Proof of Residence (Two documents such as lease, utility bill, etc.)
• Up-to-Date Immunization Certificate
• Physical Exam
• Eye Exam – Exam must be after 1/1/2018
• Dental Exam – Exam must be after 1/1/2018
The school must have the above items for your child to be enrolled on the first day of
school. These items are required by law and may be obtained from your private physician
or The Clark County Health Department.

WHO NEEDS TO REGISTER:
Children that are 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2018. This does NOT include students
who are currently enrolled in the Clark County Preschool.
KRS: Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, any child who is six (6) years of age, or who may become six
(6) years of age by August 1, shall attend public school or qualify for an exemption as provided by KRS
159.030. Any child who is five (5) years of age, or who may become five (5) years of age by August 1, may enter
a primary school program, as defined in KRS 158.031, and may advance through the primary program without
regard to age in accordance with KRS 158.031(6).
